Some people send postcards when they travel, some take pictures of landmarks, and others write letters home. Discover how four emerging artists document their epic journeys, such as crossing a continent on foot or floating through the Arctic darkness, in “Museum as Hub: Walking Drifting Dragging.” Explore the exhibition with New Museum educators and join in discussions about your favorite trips and how you have recorded them. Then, in the Sky Room, create your own collection of documents from your journey to the New Museum.

New Museum First Saturdays for Families are free of charge. This program is designed and recommended for families with children aged between four and fifteen years, and includes free New Museum admission for up to two adults per family. Children under eighteen are always admitted free. No preregistration is required. Space is limited and tickets are given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Your entire party must be present; tickets will not be given to partial parties.
