Panel: On Being Surrounded

For this panel, participating artists Nadim Abbas, Josh Kline, and Daniel Steegmann Mangrané will discuss how their works address a topic that the Triennial takes as its metaphorical point of departure: the “condition of being surrounded.” From Abbas’s work, which considers the fear of viral disease, to Steegmann Mangrané’s virtual environment of the Amazonian forest, to Kline’s immersive critique of corporate collusion with government, the artists will contemplate the role of art in a more visible, interconnected world.
