Target First Saturdays for Families: "Unmonumental"

A mattress covered with buttons, a fallen column, fragmented portraits: explore our new building’s inaugural exhibition "Unmonumental" in search of some of the most surprising materials and techniques used to create contemporary art. Families will explore the artwork in the galleries, create a collage postcard to take home, and enjoy a series of short films presented by Brooklyn International Film Festival's kidsfilmfest.

- Visit the exhibition “Unmonumental.” Engage in conversation with New Museum docents and explore the techniques of collage and assemblage in contemporary art.

- Create a collage postcard to take home.

- Join us for family-friendly shorts presented by Brooklyn International Film Festival's kidsfilmfest.

*Target First Saturdays for Families are free of charge. This program is designed for families with children 6 to 15 years old, and includes free Museum admission for up to 3 adults per family. Tickets must be picked up at the Visitor Services desk.
