CAPTURED (2008) with Q & A
Part of Art on the Bowery
Discussions, Film / Video
This 2008 documentary by Jenner Furst, Dan Levin, and Ben Solomon examines the life of filmmaker, photographer, and longtime Bowery resident Clayton Patterson. Since 1979, Patterson has dedicated his life to documenting the final era of raw creativity and lawlessness in New York City's Lower East Side. Traversing the outside edge, he's recorded a dark and colorful society, including heroin, homelessness, political chaos, and ultimately gentrification. The film will be followed by a Q & A session with Clayton Patterson, Elsa Rensaa, Jenner Furst, Dan Levin, and Ben Solomon.
CAPTURED is screened as a part of the Bowery Artist Tribute, a project celebrating artists who have lived and worked on the Bowery.
