The H BOX program was initiated in 2006, directed by Benjamin Weil. Each year, four artists are invited to produce a single-channel work in video. A changing selection of eight to ten of those short films have been presented since the late fall of 2007 in a roaming screening hall designed by Paris-based architect/artist Didier Fiuza Faustino. Having launched at Centre Pompidou (Paris), H BOX has since traveled to such European museums as MUSAC, in Spain; MUDAM, in Luxembourg; and the Tate Modern in London; before landing in Yokohama for the 2008 Triennale, and the United States in 2009 (Orange County Museum and Cinema Arts Festival Houston). For the first time, all sixteen H BOX films that have been produced to date (four new works are commissioned each year) will be presented daily at the New Museum. There will be a short break at the middle of each screening session.
