Cin-o-matic: Memory and Cinematic Perception
Cin-o-matic explores the impact of new media on the moving image. The exhibition includes the artist collaborative project Adrift (Helen Thorington, Marek Walczak, and Jesse Gilbert with Martin Wattenberg and Hal Eager), and works by Willy Le Maitre and Eric Rosenzveig, Yucef Merhi, Joseph Nechvatal, and John Cabral. Each of the projects uses the Internet as a tool to reconfigure live and pre-recorded sound and images into network performance, net art, software-propelled visualizations, or sculptural objects that expand the traditional cinematic experience. Organized by Michele Thursz, Director, Michele Thursz Gallery, in collaboration with Anne Ellegood.
