Join us for a live, 45-minute virtual tour that brings people together for close looking and conversations focused on the exhibition “Grief and Grievance: Art and Mourning in America.” Virtual tours are free, interactive experiences held on Zoom. A New Museum teaching fellow will share exclusive digital content and introduce themes and artworks, behind-the-scenes insights, and questions for consideration related to art and the exhibition. troizel, New Museum Teaching Fellow, leads virtual tours for this exhibition. troizel is a PhD candidate in the Department of Performance Studies at New York University, where they think about black trans avatars as prophets and agents of future world creation after political apocalypse. they are Managing Editor of Women & Performance: a journal of feminist theory.
