Join us for this special public conversation with Chris Ofili and Massimiliano Gioni during the opening week of “Night and Day,” the artist’s first major solo museum show in the United States. This is a rare opportunity to attend an intimate discussion with Ofili, who is based between Port of Spain, Trinidad, and London. Hear the artist discuss the influences on his wide-ranging practice and the evolution of his subject matter, style, and materials throughout his two-decade long career.

Lead exhibition support provided by “Friends of Chris Ofili” at the New Museum:

Special thanks to David Zwirner, New York/London, and Victoria Miro, London.

The accompanying catalogue, published by Rizzoli, is also made possible by the J. McSweeney and G. Mills Publications Fund at the New Museum.

This presentation is made possible, in part, by public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
