An Evening with the House of Transcendence

Organized in collaboration with artist Puppies Puppies (Jade Guanaro Kuriki-Olivo), this evening will feature performances by leaders and members of the House of Transcendence, a collective of Black and Brown trans and gender non-conforming performers and activists co-founded by artist Linda La. This event is a celebration by and for our Black and POC trans and non-binary communities.
House of Transcendence leaders and co-founders Lexii’Foxx and The Perfect Poison, alongside House members AiR, K.K. De La Transcendence, and Michelle Wynters, will present a showcase of solo performances containing original music, hip hop, comedic storytelling, lip sync performance, and burlesque in tribute to trans awareness, visibility, advocacy, and ancestral healing.

About the Participants
Lexii’Foxx (she/they) is the founder of STOP KILLING US. She cares deeply about her community and advocates for people professionally at The Alliance for Positive Change. Foxx also co-facilitates women’s groups, assists in housing for people who are living with chronic conditions, and helps affirm trans and non-binary people by helping them through the legal name change process. Foxx has shown work at MoCA Cleveland and Performance Space New York; and she has choreographed and executed performances, created large scale installations, hosted and organized open mic events, facilitated clothing drives, taught art classes, curated runway shows, and more.
Victoria Von Blaque (they/she), is an esteemed figure who has captivated audiences nationwide as a sought-after keynote speaker in conferences and summits. Known for their expertise in equity, inclusion, and LGBTQ competency, Von Blaque’s talks inspire positive change in both personal and professional realms. With a genuine passion for promoting diversity and acceptance, their compassionate approach fosters open dialogue. When performing, Mx. Von Blaque, also known as The Perfect Poison, fearlessly embraces their non-binary, trans femme identity, infusing their performances with an alluring blend of comedy, lip-synching, spoken word, and sultry burlesque. They have collaborated with VICE.
Alethia Israel Ramos (AiR; her/shey) is an ever evolving/expanding activisit whose work is rooted in decolonization. Through her cooperative Shadow Work Media, AiR bridges the spiritual and material realms with divination, sound therapy, poetic justice, oral history, media making, and writing to promote voices that would otherwise be left behind. As a participant in the stigmatized field of sex work, she has direct connections with marginalized bodies and voices, and she brings power to her comrades. She is more than a woman, she is a protector of nature and Indigeneity, an alchemical bruja, and healer.
Kammy-Raé Caine (she/they/them) is an artist who blends sex positivity, liberation, and confidence in their art to raise visibility for Black trans women. As Kamyo and K.K de la Transcendence they participate in ballroom culture through voguing.
