Premiere Screening of “keep at it” and Conversation with NIC Kay

Cover Image:

NIC Kay, keep at it (production still), 2021. Video, sound, color. Courtesy the artist. Image description: A photo of NIC Kay in a motion on an old basketball court with faded outlines. The photo features NIC’s body below the neck in the top left corner of the image. They are wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.

Artist NIC Kay will premiere keep at it, a newly-commissioned video created during their New Museum residency. A conversation with the artist will follow.

This program will be presented online via Zoom, please register here.

As director, choreographer, and performer of keep at it, NIC draws from memories of childhood dance routines and navigating the racially-coded environments of gated playgrounds, stifling brick housing, and ragged sidewalks.
