In conjunction with the opening of “Wangechi Mutu: Intertwined,” the New Museum invites you to enter the world of critically-acclaimed contemporary artist Wangechi Mutu with a night of the artist’s entrancing video works. Mutu’s vividly imagined animations and performative videos draw from myth and fantasy to craft surreal tales of gender, nature, and power.

Join the artist and co-curators Margot Norton, Allen and Lola Goldring Senior Curator, and Vivian Crockett, Curator, on Thursday, March 2 from 6:30—8 p.m. for a special evening of Mutu’s performances for video and animations.

The following films will be included in the screening:

Shoe Shoe, 2010
Nguva, 2013
The End of eating Everything, 2013
My Cave Call, 2021
