A music form, a coping mechanism, an ethos, and a bridge between disciplines and communities, punk is always reinventing itself. Case in point—a new festival curated and presented by NEW INC that expands the story of punk. From the early adoption of peer to peer music distribution to the intersection of punk and hip-hop in Times Square, this show highlights artists who use punk as a means to expand their studio practice.
For one late afternoon in Times Square, join us for a free, outdoor concert embodying this cross-disciplinary genre. All ages are welcome and no registration required!
In collaboration with NEW INC Y9 alumnus Andreas Laszlo Konrath (SHRIMP ZINE), concert goers will also have the opportunity to pick up a free companion zine including original essays by Victor Peterson, Georgia Kareola, and Christine Ochefu.
