Panels, films, and performances consider possible artist employment concepts for the Obama era in a reunion event of the CETA Artists Project, which employed over 350 artists in NYC from 1977–83. Followed by a party. Organized by Bob Holman, former CETA artist. Rochelle Slovin, the Director of the CETA Artists Project and founder of the Museum of the Moving Image and Sara Garretson, who directed the Cultural Council Foundation that was the sponsoring organization, will be joined by Mary Schmidt Campbell (Dean, Tisch School of the Arts; Associate Provost for the Arts), Theodore Berger (founder of New York Foundation for the Arts), Randall Bourscheidt (President, Alliance for the Arts), and others who were intimately involved with the program, not to just remember but to find possible applications from this project for today.
