Penny Arcade’s Longing Lasts Longer is a passionate rumination on love and longing and the loss of New York’s cultural identity. In the post-gentrified landscape of “The Big Cupcake,” where ideas too have been gentrified, Longing Lasts Longer is set in a New York disappearing under the weight of suburbanization, cultural amnesia, and the politically correct straightjacket of consensus. Arcade’s razor sharp satire will be mixed live to musical grooves inspired by four decades of pop culture. Driven by her magnetic rock ‘n’ roll energy, the artist will create a crack in the post-gentrified landscape where you can think, laugh, and dance at the same time!
