Hot Bread Kitchen is a dynamic social enterprise with a powerful, dual bottom line. We sell a line of multiethnic artisan breads inspired by our diverse team of female bakers. Revenue from the sale of breads is used to provide industry-specific training for low-income immigrant and minority women; the breads themselves embody the preservation of valuable baking traditions. Graduates are placed in management-track jobs in the specialty food industry or are supported in launching their own businesses. In addition to our on-the-job training, we operate HBK Incubates, a vibrant business incubator that serves over thirty artisan food businesses, including a special program that targets the needs of low-income entrepreneurs.
