SUSTAIN: Steering Urban Sustainability Through Action, Innovation, & Networks

Help FABnyc find creative ways to increase urban sustainability. Our SUSTAIN project uses one city block as a laboratory to test ideas for energy and waste reduction, artistic exploration, creative communication, and community action. Our exhibit will include sustainable art-making and activities: a sculpture made from repurposed fabric by artist Amanda Browder; an operational installation made from recycled electronics by Scrapyard Challenge; interactive gaming with Temporary Culture; video PSA by Fantasy Grandma; and off-grid lighting designs by students from the Cooper Union Institute for Sustainable Development.
