Artist-led Workshops test new formats to open up the thinking process and encourage a variety of methodologies for decision making.
Creative Networking Workshop
Workshop One: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Workshop Two: 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Two workshops focus on the design and understanding of complex networks through mapping and visual analysis in order to expand the individual’s thinking about the network as a creative medium. Starting from hand drawn simple graph diagrams, participants gradually build complex network models. Emphasis on network mapping, modeling, relational thinking, protocol authoring, centrality analysis, clustering analysis, and information design. Participants learn the most through observing and extracting networks from their areas of interest, collaborative mapping, sketching, and discussing diagrams.
Participants are asked to bring their fully charged laptop to the workshop.

Nicolás Paris work is oriented through three essential interests: architecture as a model, education as a system and drawing as a tool. The workshop will intent to explore the construction of dialogue environments and learning spaces with the city as a place and time as a theme; with exercises that are going to instigate a discussion about how we can exchange ideas and think possibilities to live together between city´s processes of planning and speculation, between the idea and the reality.

Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in, which will be through the red doors at 233 Mott Street. Pre-registered participants who are more than 5 minutes late will lose their seat to walk-up participants. Although unlikely, Workshop times and classrooms are subject to change.
