Neighborland participants share ideas for their neighborhoods
Too often, citizens are left out of the decision-making processes taking place in their own communities. Neighborland, an online and street-level platform for sharing and organizing around local ideas for change, will install an eight-foot interactive billboard at the IDEAS CITY StreetFest. This interactive public artwork will prompt festival-goers to share their ideas on what they’d like to see changed, improved, or otherwise altered in Lower Manhattan, harnessing the “untapped capital” of local residents’ knowledge of their own neighborhoods. Select ideas will be uploaded to the Neighborland website and later discussed and debated.
All citizens are invited to participate before, during, and after the festival at neighborland.com.
