The Uni is a new kind of amenity for cities that takes learning out from behind walls so that it can be seen, promoted, practiced, and shared. Relying on architecturally designed furniture, high-quality materials, and a dedicated staff, the Uni moves about the city and lets people gather around learning in plazas, parks, and other public spaces. In 2014, we provided 430 hours of reading rooms in twenty-six New York City neighborhoods, partnering with community groups in every location. This year, we’re expanding our collection and adding locations to our circuit. We also build reading room kits for other cities around the world.
